Promotions in the Marketplace

How is it May already?  We were consumed with Oscars at the beginning of the year and now we’ve blinked and it’s the start of the summer movie blockbuster season.  Yes, you may say it’s still spring but “summer at the movies” officially started on March 25th with the release of Batman v. Superman, continued with the April 15th release of Jungle Book and opening this weekend is Captain America: Civil War.

This is when our team keeps our eyes open every time we shop, enter a drive-thru (not that often), watch a TV show (or stream online), or place an online order.  This time of year is the movie partnership and promotions premiere league season.  Brands of all types partner with the blockbuster films that release each week using entertainment to capture the attention of consumers. 

We tell the brands that we work with that a partnership with the right film/home entertainment/video game can truly drive sales and most definitely lead the social conversation. Consumers would rather see a post with some great content from Hollywood’s best than yet another attempt to ride the wave of #ThrowbackThursday.
