• Assistant Promotions Manager

    Boutique entertainment and marketing promotions agency based in Santa Monica seeks an assistant manager of promotions to develop and manage third party promotional relationships for entertainment clients.  Position reports to agency co-presidents.

    Clients of agency include: major studio, video game maker, mobile technology and up-and-coming brands.  Position is salaried with benefits package.

    Responsibilities:

    • Present entertainment properties to brands and solicit promotional concepts  
    • Create pitch strategies and promotional tie-in ideas
    • Manage client relationships
    • Work on new business pitches for agency
    • Provide weekly status reports
    • Manage client records and logging client notes in database
    • Research industry trends and maintain current knowledge of brand campaigns and marketing strategies
    • Assist with company initiatives and projects on an ad hoc basis

    Experience:

    • 2-3 years experience either entertainment marketing,  consumer promotions, sponsorship sales or entertainment agency
    • Working knowledge of CPG’s and/or retail (mass, drug, grocery, club) ideal

    Skills and requirements:

    • Strong ability to communicate:
      • Phone skills—ability to forge new relationships
      • Written communications—convey ideas via email and PowerPoint
      • Presentations skills—present creative ideas to small groups
    • Highly organized, ability to multi-task: juggle multiple projects, follow up and meet deadlines
    • Outgoing and upbeat personality
    • Creative and strategic thinker
    • Comfortable working in a small office environment
    • Proficient at Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Filemaker a plus but not required

    Responsibilities:

    • Present entertainment properties to brands and solicit promotional concepts
    • Create pitch strategies and promotional tie-in ideas
    • Lead and manage client relationships including strategy development and status updates
    • Work on new business pitches for agency
    • Facilitate new business relationships
    • Provide weekly status reports
    • Manage client records and logging client notes in database
    • Limited execution of promotional partnerships

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years experience either entertainment marketing, consumer promotions, sponsorship sales or entertainment agency
    • Working knowledge of entertainment promotions

    Skills and requirements:

    • Strong ability to communicate:
